It's not too late to chimpeach!

Don't believe for an instant all this stuff you hear about George Bush Junior making a gracious exit. Even as the Potemkin Village Idiot glad-hands the Obamas and mugs for the cameras, he and his corrupt criminal co-conspirators are planning to do as much damage as possible before the grown-ups finally take away the car keys.

Whether it's throwing open thousands of acres of old-growth forest to clear-cutting, or letting Paulson loot and plunder what's left in the treasury with no oversight or accountability whatsoever, the pattern is clear - steal as much of our tax money as possible for their megacorporate cronies, and screw things up for the incoming administration out of sheer spite. Meanwhile of course the talking orifices of extreme-right hate radio are blaming Barack Obama for all the ills of the last eight nightmare years, months before he takes office. I though it was all Bill Clinton's fault? What a sick, sorry bunch of losers those wingnutards are.

And of course we can only guess at how many hundreds of names will be on George Bush Junior's pardon list, but it will undoubtedly be the longest ever, covering everyone who was ever in his administration, and everyone in the giant corruption machine the rethug party has degenerated into, but giving pride of place to himself.

As the sun sets on the sleaziest and most corrupt, criminal and incompetent administration in US history, we must spend every remaining day shouting from the rooftops that Junior and his puppetmasters must be held accountable for their massive crimes, treason and failures. I don't care if it's the day before Obama's inauguration, Congress is still obliged to uphold the Constitution and supply checks, balances and oversight. They have been a dismal failure in this regard, but they can still partly redeem themselves.
