Top Ten Reasons why Hillary should not be Obama's running mate
- She would totally discredit Obama's message of change.
- She would be, or at least try to be, Obama's Cheney, the real power behind the throne. Obama would spend so much time kicking her out of his chair in the Oval Office, he wouldn't get anything done.
- She would galvanize the rethug base even more than the opportunity to vote against a black man. Every rethug who died in the last twenty years, whether of terminal Clinton Derangement Syndrome or anything else, would come crawling out of his grave to vote against her. We in the sanity-based community simply can't imagine the fetid depths of stark raving demented rage which the mere mention of the name Clinton evokes among the lunatic extreme right.
- I don't want a third term for George Bush Junior or Bill Clinton. Yeah, Bill Clinton was the best Republican president we ever had, but still...
- Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Gennifer Flowers etc. are dead and buried, figuratively speaking. I don't want them dug up and paraded before the TV cameras 24-7 from now until Election Day.
- Obama will look weak and henpecked if he gives in to blackmail and picks her.
- Her astonishingly crass and narcissistic response to Obama's victory, refusing to concede or congratulate him, confirms that for Hillary it's all about her personal ambition - the good of the party and the country be damned. Such outrageous behavior should not be rewarded.
- Does anyone really believe for a minute she would play second fiddle to someone else? She will be sabotaging Obama from the get-go.
- She refuses to acknowledge that she made a mistake in voting for war against Iraq. We already have a president (albeit illegitimate) with that kind of bull-headed stubbornness, and look how well it's worked out.
- Even if she decides to make nice and work with Obama, sooner or later Bill will get caught with his pants down and torpedo the whole campaign. It's not worth the risk.
Run, Hillary, run! As far away from Washington as possible!
