No More Mr. Nice Guy!

They don't come much rottener than this...

I'm pleased to see that Expelled, the cretinist crap-fest in which the droning Ben Stein links evolution to Nazism and genocide, is tanking at the box office - it's down there with "Fool's Gold", and, most fittingly of all, "10,000 BC". It's also being critically panned, with a 10% rating at Rotten Tomatoes, where the consensus is: "Full of patronizing, poorly structured arguments, Expelled is a cynical political stunt in the guise of a documentary."

The reviews are devastating:

"Junk science meets even junkier filmmaking in Expelled -- no more shameless, stupid and loathsome piece of propaganda has ever skulked its way into the theater." - Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC)

"One of the sleaziest documentaries to arrive in a very long time, Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed is a conspiracy-theory rant masquerading as investigative inquiry." - New York Times

And that's just the mainstream press. Even some of the Christian media outlets are embarrassed about this pile of dreck. And my local rag, the Arizona Repulsive, hasn't even reviewed it at all - probably in order to avoid having to write a negative review and piss off its fundy readership.

There may still be hope for this country, if Expelled sinks without a trace and wastes Ben Stein's money with no reward. Someone's brain was taking a day off when they green-lighted this turkey!
