The Official Linux of Jesus

I love Linux, and I think it's great that more and more people are discovering it as an alternative to MegaSuck, but this is a bit much: a Christian version of Linux. I guess it's for people who think Macs are Satanic.

Actually, Christian Linux seems to be little more than a standard Linux distribution with the addition of a bible study program and a net nanny - because only Christian parents care about protecting their children from internet smut, don't you know. A disappointed reviewer at a techie website writes:
Another thing that bothered me about Ubuntu Linux Christian Edition is that...well...it didn't feel particularly Christian. There was no Christian ambiance in the wallpaper or graphics. It felt rather bare and lacked the warmth that one might expect from something labeled as being Christian. [...]

[P]erhaps including two separate themes in the distribution might be a good idea? A Catholic desktop theme and a Protestant theme?
Oh, great... Northern Ireland on your desktop! I've heard of religious wars in the world of computing, but usually it's about Python vs. Perl, or C++ vs. Java. Now we can literally have... religious wars!

And what's this about Christian "warmth"? You mean, my screen wallpaper should be a picture of the Lake of Fire in which all except the chosen few will scream forever in infinite agony?

Seriously though, people are entitled to have Christian Linux on their computer if that's what they want, but what is it about some Christians that they have to spend every waking minute loudly trumpeting their Christianity, or wrapping themselves in a Christian cocoon in every facet of their lives? "Look at me, I'm so holy, I only eat Christian cornflakes!"

Okay, whatever. But it's almost enough to make me want to go back to the tool of the beast, Windows...

For more Jesus-related Linux stuff, check out the Gospel according to Linus Torvalds, and see how Tux the Penguin died for your sins. Gotta go now, I have to cast spirits out of my PC...
