Bye-bye New Orleans
The worst-case scenario just keeps getting worse. It's unbelievable what's happening down in New Orleans, as it descends into horror and savagery such as even George Romero couldn't imagine in his worst nightmares. Thousands dying in their own feces, dying of starvation and dehydration. Feral gangs shooting indiscriminately at hospitals, at rescue workers, outgunning the police. (Thanks, NRA, for making it so easy to loot America's favorite WMD.) A mind-bogglingly incompetent and inadequate response by officialdom, on top of their inexcusable lack of preparedness. When all is said and done, 9/11 will look like a Methodist potluck supper next to Katrina.
Read this incredible interview with the mayor of New Orleans. He seems to be the only politician in the US telling the truth right now, so read what he says, and pass it along, before the Bush regime silences him.
It's all going to hell in a rocket-powered handbasket. Bye-bye New Orleans, thanks for the memories.
